DUBOIS, Wyo. - Details have just come in that a man vacationing in Fremont County died overnight in a one-vehicle rollover on Togwotee Pass near Dubois. Killed in the crash was 41-year-old Vitaly Nevzorov of Des Plaines, Ill. He died at the scene of massive injury after being ejected from the vehicle. Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan released the information.

The victim was a passenger in the vehicle, said Trooper Dave Hockett of the Wyoming Highway Patrol. He said two other passengers and the driver survived the crash, which occurred at about 7 Monday night on Highway 26, 20 miles west of Dubois.

The driver, 38-year-old Mikhail Redko of East Lansing, Mich., is in the Lander hospital. Front seat passenger, 27-year-old Olena Goroshko, also of Des Plaines, was treated there and released. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Alexander Rakitin, age unknown, of California was Life Flighted to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, where he remains in critical condition. He, along with the deceased, was ejected from the vehicle. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.

Hockett said the travelers were all from the Ukraine, working in the United States. He said the driver lost control of the sport utility vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Highlander, after falling asleep and drifting off the side of the road, then overcorrecting. The vehicle rolled two and a quarter times before coming to rest. Excessive speed was not a factor and no alcohol or drug use is suspected. The trooper said that stretch of road is straight, the weather was clear and the road was dry. The vehicle was a total loss.
